St. Louis Union Station Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

St. Louis Union Station Hotel is an absolutely exquisite building. From the gorgeously painted ceiling to the gold leaf detailing to the stained-glass windows and the grand archways, it's a breathtaking scene. Union Station is a magical place, especially at Christmastime. My big kids loved the whisper arches near the grand entrance where you could stand in opposite nooks and whisper to each other, and the arch would carry the whisper up and across the hallway to the other person. 
Union Station puts on 3D light shows on the ceiling of the Grand Hall every day. There really is nothing like it! The lights move across the ceiling and change colors and designs to the music. The one we watched was all Beatles themed complete with images of the Beatles! It was fun to cuddle up on the oversized couches in the Grand Hall and sit back to relax and enjoy the show! This is something you cannot miss when you visit!
Union Station also puts on a daily spectacular fire show out in the courtyard over the water. It's amazing and so exciting for the kids! We were so intrigued by it, I didn't think to take a picture but you can see below how amazing the entire thing looks! You have to go watch the show to see the magic for yourself! This courtyard connects Union Station to the Polar Express and Landry's restaurant. The rest of it is under construction as new restaurants and an aquarium are currently being added.
They offer a marketplace with Starbucks, a large model train display, tables and chairs, snacks and souvenirs. Our kids loved watching the trains go by through the large window.
Connecting Union Station to the rest of the hotel and courtyard is this giant room with a Harry Potter Platform 9 3/4 feel. In 2019, Union Station will be opening an aquarium with the entrance on the opposite side of this room. As you can see, it's a large open space with the charm of the historic Union Station on the right-hand side. The giant ceiling windows make for great lighting as you pass through!
The rooms are very clean and come complete with the beds, good-sized bathroom, a desk/work area, TV, wireless internet and a large window.
This is the perfect place to stay when taking a ride on The Polar Express because you simply walk across the courtyard to get to your hotel room. It happened to be raining when we visited, so it was nice to be able to just run inside when we were done! It doesn't get any more convenient than that!
The hotel does also offer other amenities such as an outdoor swimming pool for enjoying during the warm months.
Overall, we were absolutely thrilled with our stay and would highly recommend this hotel. It's family-friendly, quiet, and just beautiful!
