Guide for Southeast, Downtown and South KCMO

Many pools and waterparks have chose to stay closed for the 2020 season however there are several options still availbe to cool off this summer



*Southeast KCMO Water Fun

Pools & Swimming *If you click on the event/title it will take you to the complete details

-Feed the Fish & Boat Rental @ Blue Springs Marina- Blue Springs

-Lake Paradise Pool OPEN (open for all)- Lone Jack

-Grain Valley Pool OPEN (open for all)- Grain Valley

-Oak Grove Aquatic Center Pool OPEN (open for all)- Oak Grove

-Summit Waves Water Park OPEN (LS resident pass holders only)- Lee's Summit


Creeks & other water fun for playing & exploring

-Creek @ Hartman Park (Lee's Summit)- This park has a deep area in the creek to swim and jump off of the rocks. Bring your life jackets

-Burr Oak Creek (Blue Springs)- If you follow the trail that goes behind the shelters near the Bethany Falls trail at Burr Oak Nature Area you will find a nice creek to explore & splash in. 

-Blue Springs Marina allows you to feed the large fish at their marina. Food provided for 50 cents a bag, fun for all ages! click for more info

-Spraygrounds in Blue Springs and Lee's Summit ARE OPEN. Independence has announced they will not open theirs this season.

      Independence- spraygrounds will NOT open this season

      Blue Springs-  sprayground @ Burrus Old Mill Park 112 NW Woods Chapel Rd) open 9am -8pm daily

       Lee's Summit-  2 spraygrounds open!! Miller J. Fields Park Sprayground– 1301 SE 3rd Terrace and Lea McKeighan Park Spashpad 120 NE Chipman Rd OPEN 10am-7pm

- Fishing at Blue Springs Lake (Lee's Summit), Lake Jacomo (Blue Springs), James a Reed Memorial Wildlife area (Lee's Summit), Longivew Lake (KCMO) and Lake Remembrance (Blue Springs). Fishing is free and fun for those under age 15, those ages 16+ must have a fishing license ($12 MO residents)

Spraygrounds, Creeks & other water fun for playing & exploring

-Two Spraygrounds in Grandview are open now! John Anderson Sprayground (open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm), The View Sprayground (members only, open Mon-Fri 10am-5pm)

-Five Spraygrounds open in KCMO Cool off at Central, Loose, Gillham, Seven Oaks and Spring Valley Park. All FREE More info https://kcparks.org/places/place_types/sprayground/

        Central Park Sprayground- Linwood Boulevard and Bales Avenue (Daily: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

        Gilham Sprayground- 41st and Gillham (daily 11am-7pm)

        Loose Park Sprayground- 52nd Terrace and Summit Street ( daily 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.)

        Spring Valley Sprayground- East 27th and Woodland Ave. (daily 11am-7pm)

        Seven Oaks Sprayground- E. 39th St. & Kensington Ave. (daily 11am-7pm)

-Fishing at Longivew Lake (KCMO). Fishing is free and fun for those under age 15, those ages 16+ must have a fishing license ($12 MO residents)
