"Celebrate our Annual SOTV Earth Day Celebration in Kansas City!
Bring your blankets and picnic baskets for Fun in the Sun! Kids will have teach-ins with fun Earth Day activities. Teach-ins start at 10:00 a.m., so come early & grab a seat! Local organizations will have info tables to get you up to speed on all things that help the Earth. Play frisbee tag, throw a football, fly a kite, bring a peace sign, chill out with your Kansas City neighbors and celebrate Springtime on the Earth!
JOIN THE MOVEMENT! CELEBRATE EARTH DAY!
Earth Day Activities include Teach-ins, Reading Circles, fun hands-on activities, origami, circular economy class, water quality testing, composting, pollinators, weather demos, birding, and kite flying contest!
Reading Circles are basically a blanket on the grass where you read an excerpt from a book and discuss. These books have lesson plans to share with easy, user-friendly activities.
